I’ve always said that StreetView is one of my favorite Google technologies. The possibilities to visit other places and experience what they look like from the comfort of one’s own desk are simply amazing. I’ve researched locations for my books with StreetView, planned holidays, hikes and outings. And now — now I can get a feel for what it’s like to be an Astronaut on the ISS with StreetView.
One of my favorites is the Cupola observatory, giving you the ability to look down on the planet below. Oh wait, there’s no ‘down’ in zero gravity, but if I learned anything from ‘Ender’s Game’, it’s that I should orient myself…so the world is ‘down’ 🙂
Can anybody identify what part of the world they were over when these pictures were taken?
And yes, you can even see, and learn about, a space toilet. That’s why I’ll never be an astronaut… 🙂
